The torchbearer represents the light in the darkness, it is the symbol of one’s own journey to illuminate the shadows of the mind. It’s the sleeping warrior we all have inside and yearn to know, waking up to fight the battles no one else can. He carries the torch of light, clarity and truth. His path, like the horse, becomes defiant and dark, that’s why he rides at night.
