Antonio’s handmade ceramics are inspired by the techniques learned from the Ruiz de Luna house of traditional ceramics from Talavera de la Reina. They are laborious and very delicate work.

From the bath, the elaboration of the pigments and the firing of the ceramic piece is a very complete artisan work.

The snail represents the wanderer (I Ching) that person who travels as a vagabond, without pretending too much, cautious, reserved…

The mountain (Ken) stands still; above the fire (Li) flames and does not remain. So they don’t stay together. The strange land, the separation, is the luck of the wanderer.

THE OPINION
The Wanderer. Small success.
To the wanderer, perseverance brings happiness.

As a traveler and a foreigner one should not be abrupt or try to climb too high. He does not have one of a large circle of relationships; So there is no reason to boast. It is necessary to be cautious and reserved; in this way one will protect oneself from evil. If one is attentive to others, he will achieve success. The wanderer has no fixed abode, the road is his home. Hence, he has to worry about preserving his rectitude and firmness internally, and take care to stop only in suitable places, maintaining contact only with good people. Then he will have luck and will be able to continue his journey without being disturbed.

THE PICTURE

On the mountain there is fire: the image of the wanderer.
Thus the nobleman applies the penalties with clarity and caution
and he does not drag quarrels.

When the grass on the mountain burns, he gives off a clear glow. But the fire does not stay there, but continues on its journey in search of new food. It is a very fleeting phenomenon. The same must happen with punishments and lawsuits. It is necessary that these are very fleeting phenomena and that they do not drag on to other places. Prisons must be something that only welcomes people temporarily, as if they were guests. They must not become the dwelling place of men.
